Happy but hot at Albarella Golf Club!

Set on a private island south of Venice, Albarella Golf Club is a memorable place to play. Deer live in the wild on the course itself - over the years they've learnt to dodge the golf balls - which borders onto a stunning sandy beach.

 

Billed as the hottest day of the year - so far - last Sunday's participants nevertheless made it round the course in record time, keen no doubt for a dip in that inviting blue sea!

 

See below for the day's winners and scores who were presented with our exclusive glass trophies. At the prizegiving several lucky participants also found themselves taking home bottles of delicious wine generously donated by the Cantina Lodi Corazza vineyard near Bologna in collaboration with the Enoteca Redionale di Dozza. 

 

The luckiest of all however won a 2-night stay for two people at the marvellous Conte Verde Hotel in Montecchio Emilia, very close to the Matilde di Canossa course where our final qualifier will be held on September 4th.

 

Before that our next and penultimate qualifier is scheduled for Saturday 6th August at the fabulous 27 hole course at the coastal resort of Cervia - Adriatic Golf Club.
