Versilia Golf Resort
Via della Sipe 100, Pietrasanta (Lucca)
Technical data: 18 holes, par 71, 5,873 metres, inaugurated in 1990, designed by Marco Croze. The golf club is placed in a charming area suspended between the Apuan Alps and the Tyrrhenian Sea, with the sea a short distance away; its scent is borne on a wind that makes for cloudless azure skies. The course lies at the centre of the resort. Designed by Marco Croze, it was inaugurated in 1990: its 18 holes unfold in splendid countryside, among bunkers and water hazards. The course offers challenges, thrills, and pleasures whatever your handicap may be, because the many generously sized tees make it possible to vary the departure point on every hole, thus ensuring that every club in your bag will be brought into play. In 1998 José Maria Olàzabal’s Integral Golf Design completely redesigned the 13th, which is now classified as a #1 handicap hole.
